My gratitude poem! D-verse poetics!

You came into my life

At a time of strife

I needed a pet

You were it

You bring me so much joy

My beautiful bouncy boy

A cute lab you are

And everyone loves you

Yes, they do.

I love you too

Your my special friend

Friend till the end

We’ve gone on so many adventures

Traveled very far

And you, my sweet boy

Your my shining star

The best gift I’ve ever received

You are truly my one and only!

  1. I couldn’t be without my cats. Sadly my little dog died a long time ago, but I still miss him. I can feel the love for your bouncy Labrador in every line of your poem, Carol Anne. Not only a friend and faithful companion, but your guiding star.
