Yellow daffodils

Please note, I got the form wrong, I was confused and didn’t write three stanzas but I did write too, but I still think I’ve got it wrong so please excuse me I’m new to all this LOL In the spring I saw the daffodils

Popping up their exquisite heads

So I asked those gorgeous daffodils

Yellow, red?

They answered me in a chorus

Bowing as they did

Those sweet smelling yellow daffodils

So vivid!

    1. I always think of yellow as a very bright colour, bright and radiant. That is just from what people have said about it, the scent of yellow, like lemons. Yes, that’s the scent of yellow. 💖💖

      1. Wondering if you can find frozen mango cubes or if not, dried mango strips! The dried strips are a popular snack in our part of Asia though to us, they smell slightly different from fresh mango haha

  1. I like what you did, Carol Anne. Seems to flow very well. It is very close to the form. Daffodils are wonderful. Are they poking through in your country yet? Mine have a couple of heads and will probably open by the weekend.

  2. Thank you; I have never thought of that, how the form of the flower says something about the colour. And you suggest uniformity does as well, or, perhaps you mean the heavy crown. Well written! By the way, daffodil in Norwegian is “easter lily”.

  3. I smiled at the visual of their bowing heads. We’re still in the middle winter here. It’s going to be a couple of months before their bright hues light up my days. Nicely done.

  4. I love daffodils! They might be my favorite flowers. We have lots of them in our yard in the spring.
You certainly captured their spirit. They always seem like happy flowers to me–tulips are sort of aloof. 🙂
