Have you ever met anyone online, either a friend, or a partner, have you met in person and if you have how was it?

  1. No, I’ve never met someone that I’ve become acquainted with online in person. I’m afraid that our online personas might be a bit different from real life anyway. It’s like meeting a celebrity, the chances of being disappointed are great. We tend to ‘typecast’ each other. {I believe we tend not to recognize how ‘ordinary’ each of us is. IMHO…It’s that kind of humbleness that the world -at large- could use a lot more of though.}

    1. Yeah I agree with you Paula it was a lot of fun meeting people that I met online. I’ve never met anyone online through a dating site although I have been tempted to try tinder just for the fun of it and see what happens maybe I’ll find someone 🎀

  2. I met some cycling fans on line, we started VeloVoices and I’ve subsequently met up with most of them. It was exactly as if we were old friends. I’ve also met up with a few fellow bloggers on my travels which was really nice.

      1. We did, and we went out to lunch and to see a tourist thing as well. It was a brewery we went to. I can’t remember the name of this but it was really cool. We got some good photos which I shared I think

    1. Well zoom calls are just as good I mean I know it’s not the same as face-to-face but it’s still you get to see the person on the other end so that’s good at least and you get to talk to them and connect over zoom 😍🎀

  3. I have, several times. I met a lot of WP bloggers over the years. Once I toured a bit through the States and met 6 bloggers. I went to the Blogger Bash in London and one blogger even lives only half an hour away. Every time I met someone it was like meeting old friends.

      1. Oh, Gosh, I think that were about 20 to 30 people in London. Unfortunately, that Blogger Bash stopped when Covid began. I have not heard of a new one yet.
