behind these eyes and deep within
I wonder if there’s a monsters den
deep in the past maybe he was out
and didn’t listen to reason’s shout
maybe it wasn’t me performing those acts
I just want to check and recheck the facts
I wouldn’t do such horrible things
inflicting terrible abusive stings
a monster within must have done it
a monster that didn’t give a shit
I have to believe that it wasn’t me
because these are memories I don’t want to see
