D-verse quadrille Monday

Mish is today’s host of Quadrille Monday. Mish says

Write a quadrille; must be exactly 44 words, not counting the title and must include ice
or a form of the word.

Tears form in my eyes

They glisten

At the corners

Like icicles

I too am like ice

Standing as still as a statue

Afraid to move an inch

As cold as ice

Will I ever be warm again?

I ponder this

For eternity
