No nonsense Saturday mix 21 January!

Sarah is our host for this challenge, and this week, she has given us a made up word. Our challenge, is to write a poem, prose or whatever we like incorporating the made up word, however, we must define it how we choose.

Welcome to the Saturday Mix – No Nonsense, 21 January 2023!
You will be given a nonsensical, made-up word. You will need to come up with your own definition and use it creatively and in context, in your response. It is your choice whether you write using poetry or prose.

Your nonsense word this week is: “polershmett

A polershmett

I admit

Is someone

I would not like to meet

On the street

A polershmett

Looks funny

Very ugly

A polershmett

Is fat and frumpy

And very grumpy

But what, or who

Is a polershmett

You ask?

Well, your task

Is to go out tonight

And in the darkness not light

You’ll spot the creature

By the front door

He’s magical, mystical

And very irresistible.

  1. Sounds like you have met one or two of my visiting street cats, I only see them on the cam as they never call during the day. Made up word prompts – now that’s cool and you nailed it.
