Adventures with my dog

This morning

As I walked my dog

And listened to birdsong

I thought

What an adventure this is

And yes, Nitro

You agreed

With me

We chased other dogs

Chased leaves

You sniffed the ground

As I laughed, and said come on, boy

We frolicked and played

Together, we smiled

You smiling that cute doggie smile

Then me making you do it all over again.

I didn’t want our walk, to end

But everything has to end, doesn’t it?

Tomorrow, we’ll do it all again

Go on a new adventure, together
