To all of you, my followers?

Hey 😃

Thank you to each and every one of my readers, for following me, reading me, liking, and commenting, on my posts.

Recently I’ve gotten a lot of new followers. So Can I ask you newbie’s a couple of questions?

  1. Why do most of you never COMMENT on my posts? Commenting is a great way to get fellow bloggers to visit YOUR site and interact with YOUR posts. I assume you want that to happen? ā€œThanks Paula of Light Motifs 2 for this well thought out question!
  2. Are you not commenting because your too shy? I promise, I don’t bite 😊
  3. I appreciate any and all feedback, so come on guys, hit me up with some! ā¤ 😃

  1. Great question. For me, it’s a PTSD issue that is hard to articulate, but I’ll try.

It’s not about being “shy” as much as having had such traumatic interpersonal relationships that I now really struggle with basic 1:1 conversations.

A year ago, I could barely even write a blog post, but now I’m blogging a lot, which is helping me find my voice again.

But talking to people directly, even people who I like and want to talk to, can still be very difficult, awkward, and even physiologically painful.

Sometimes it feels like my brain shuts down and I have no idea what to say. I’ve been working on it, but I know it’s something I’ll have to work on for a while, because the roots of the issue are deep.

  2. Great questions. I don’t tend to care much about followers, as in my case most tend to hit the “follow” button and never show any sign of ever having even read my posts. On the other hand, some of my more loyal commenters are on Blogger so they can’t follow me on WP. I don’t follow you on WP either (I think) because I don’t do the WP reader, but instead do follow you in my feed reader.

  3. Well, I have never seen any of your posts before, hence why today is the first comment and like. It looks like you have been doing very well at gaining followers though based on what you have written and your high follower count so clearly appear to be doing something right. I hope to have further interaction with your blog in future and look forward to reading your future posts. Have a lovely day šŸ™‚

  4. I enjoy that you (Carol anne) welcome us into your world. I read most of your posts, and comment when something really interests me. And I agree with Rebecca, Carol anne, comments back. That is also appreciated. I don’t always have the time to comment on everything.
