This holiday season

It saddens me that so many are going through hardship this holiday season. I know I can’t do much to help, but I try to donate food, etc where I can to the local homeless shelters.

It’s the least I can do!

We have a few excellent organisations here locally that help the homeless.

I also feel sad for those who will be alone for Christmas. I would normally work on friendly call on Christmas day but this year I am not.

I’ve worked it for the last 2 years, so this year I am taking time out to spend with my family.

I still think about all the people who are alone and feeling lonely this holiday season.

I know I am lucky to have my family, and loved ones around me.

I am also thinking about my cousin William who passed away in May of this year. He was homeless, and a drug addict, and he died on the streets.

It will be hard this Christmas for his dad and sister, the first Christmas without him.

I am feeling a little under the weather tonight. I am hoping and praying its only a slight cold. I don’t want my mom to get sick, so please send prayers that I don’t pass what I have to her.

I will be going to my parents tomorrow for the Christmas.

Please send positive thoughts my way that I’ll get over whatever flu or cold I’ve got.
