Truthful Tuesday: Growing up in todays world?

Di is standing in for Melanie for the truthful Tuesday prompt. Her question this week is

Would you like to be a child growing up in today’s world?

Honestly? No I wouldn’t. Todays world is ugly. Schools are full of bullying, that was always there, even when I was growing up, but nowadays there is social media, mobile phones, bullies continue to bully outside of the playground at school.

There is also so much hate. Hate crime is rampant. You have so much knife crime, gun related violence, etc. Its scary!

Also there is so much pressure on kids these days. By their peers, they are trying to be people they aren’t.

Also everything is so PC these days, and if you aren’t careful, you’ll be told that you’re a freak, your different, unacceptable, etc.

It simply isn’t ok to just be who you are!

So no, I for one wouldn’t like to be growing up in todays world.
