Our winter is truly here
Lots of heavy rain

And we’ll have snow and ice
That will not be
My favourite time!

Stay indoors, or if I have to go out
I will wear my shoes for walking on the ice!

NZ is indeed a beautiful country and my SIL ensured I saw a lot of it when I visited in 2010. I’d love to go back, but circumstances won’t permit it.

We wear grippers over our shoes when it’s icy underfoot. They were a godsend on the boat as the pontoons were wooden and slippery and the gangplanks a combination of wood and metal!

I couldn’t remember what they were called, but that is what I have grippers, yes that they will be good this year, when I need to go out in the ice and snow
