Sleep, sweet sleep

Second night in a row

Sleep evades me

I try to close my eyes

Nod off

And bang! My eyelids shoot open!

I’m wide awake again!

Seems sleep is an illusion

Something that I’m not going to get

Something that I keep chasing

But to no avail.
