Sprawled on your blanket

It is your safe haven

You love your comfort

But don’t we all?

Snoring lightly

You sound so cute

I bend down

Pat your head

And with a loving lick

You thank me

But it is me

Who should be thanking you

For always being by my side

My constant security and constant companion

I love you, sweet Nitro.
