Take my heart
Wrap it up
Bandage it well
I don’t want
To feel now
Its too painful
Put a bandage
Over this wound
Make it stick
Too afraid to
Tear it off
Because underneath is
Raw vulnerability and
Pain and sadness
This heart is
Breaking into pieces
So bandage it
I must now
Not show it
To others now
Never.
