My peeve this week is about the price of electricity!
Ireland has been having a huge energy crisis, and the price of our electricity has skyrocketed!
The electricity bill for households has more than doubled!
This is not cool!
I’m dreading my next bill! We got smart metres installed a while back, and for what?
There is no difference since getting the metre installed…the price still went up!
Its going to be a very long winter. Lots of people are afraid to turn on lights, cook food, shower, etc. because of the increased price of electricity now.
Our government is supposed to help, but so far they’ve given no feedback on what their intentions for helping us pay for the bills are.
I’m seriously doubting we’re going to get much help!
Between the price of heat going up and the price of electricity going up, a lot of people will be in dire straights this winter.
And that, my friends is my rant and Monday peeve!

I read in an article this morning that electricity in your area has nearly tripled in cost in the last two yers. Wow. I can’t even imagine that. I’m so sorry for everyone who is facing this.

The cost of electricity is one of the few things that hasn’t gone up here.

We are currently not paying for electricity as we are staying in guest houses but we keep our use as low as we did at home. But the last electricity bill we had was as big for one month as it usually was for three. Incredible. 😔
