A loving couple

Jan came in and plonked her back pack down on the table.
Oh my! She exclaimed! The traffic out there is a bloody nightmare!
Jack smiled at her.
Do you want a cuppa? He said as he flicked the kettle switch. You look like you need one.
Yes please, love. Jan said sighing heavily. That store was so busy. But I’ve gotten everything on our list.
You stay sitting down love, jack said. I’ll get dinner started.
Jan was so lucky to have jack in her life, he was the best husband ever. She counted her blessings every day. He was so attentive to her needs.
Ok, she said smiling, surprise me!
Jack busied himself in the kitchen as jan slowly sipped her tea.
He began unpacking the groceries, and putting them all away.
Then he got started on dinner, jan decided to go upstairs and lie down for a half hour.
I’ll call you when dinners ready love, jack said kissing her lovingly on the cheek.
Ok, thanks, darling, jan said as she took her book off the coffee table and went upstairs. She climbed into bed, and within minutes her eyes had closed and she’d fallen asleep.
