Joining the police, a short story!

The young lad was not a shining example of how kids should behave. He was always out on the streets at all hours, his parents never care where he was.
As he kicked his neighbours car for the third time, a police officer just happened to be coming along.
Now young fella, he said, I am arresting you. You cant go around damaging other peoples property like that.
You can spend the night in a jail cell, its no picnic, and hopefully you’ll learn a lesson while your there.
The boys ears immediately pricked up. A cell? Like he’d seen on tv? Wow! He practically ran with the police officer.
The policeman was a kind man, and when he saw the young boy take an interest, he thought, I’ll use this to my advantage, so he began showing him around the police station.
The next morning when he got home, the boy said to his parents, I want to be a police officer when I grow up. And from that day forward he began to shine, and was a perfect child.
