Opposing forces Saturday mix august 28th 2021

Sarah is our host for the Saturday Mix challenges.

This week we are dipping our toes into the pool of OPPOSITES. Our challenge is all about opposing forces and the use of antithesis in our writing. You will need to use the two opposing words in your response which can be poetry or prose.

Our words this week are:

rough and smooth

sit and stand

As kate stood on the seashore, she started thinking, then, her 5 year old daughter came running up to her.

“Mom, she said” “Can we collect shells?”

So off they went, some were rough, some were smooth, by the time they were finished they’d collected a huge bucket full.

Time to sit down now love, Kate said to her little girl, I’m exhausted.

It was so hot, and kate was hardly able to stand the heat. She got out a blanket and their umbrella and they sat down to eat the picnic lunch they’d brought.
