Sometimes its hard to know the difference between fact and fiction.
Jack knew this. He was trying to convince lynn. She wasnt having any of it though.
What do you mean? She scoffed. Surely you can tell if something is based in truth, or if its all just fiction?
No, jack said. Sometimes I can’t.
Well then more fool you, lynne said, as she marched out to the kitchen.
I’m not gonna sit here and argue the point with you. I have a meal to prepare.
If you want your dinner tonight, let me get on with it!
Jack sighed. Why did lynne have to be so irritable.
I’m going to go meet my buddies for a drink, jack said. I’ll see you later ok?
Lynne gave a big huff. Go on then, she said angrily. I won’t argue with you so your going off to meet your buddies, and what will you be doing with them?
I’ll be drinking, and probably talking about sport, jack said, I just thought I’d take the opportunity to go meet them while your prepping dinner, I’ll be back around 6:30.
Don’t be late, Lynne said, or dinner will go cold!
