      1. It was awesome, until I got altitude sickness!! It’s the 3rd time I’ve had it. We were 1500 meters up in the mountains and I couldn’t hold down any food for half a day! But first I got to the funeral, took pictures of my cousins, and read the poem I’d written in honor of my uncle. It went well! I just missed the reception and dinner with the family afterwards. I rested in the hotel instead. (that wasn’t bad either ; )

      2. That’s what I’m dreading about going to Colorado is getting altitude sickness. I’ve never experienced being in the higher up levels before so we don’t get altitude sickness over here in Ireland so going away to Colorado I’m going to try my hardest to research before I go so I know what to do in order to avoid it

      3. I think the best advice is to eat light meals for the first 24 hours. I made the mistake of eating a pork chop my first night and that was hard for my stomach to digest because there’s less oxygen at altitude. Skip the meat dishes for the first day!
