Weekend coffee share 05 June edition

Hello everyone, welcome to another weekend coffee share. Come on in, sit down, relax, put up your feet, and I’ll make you a drink, you can have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, coke, water, or juice!
If we were having coffee I’d tell you that I have been reading my book for the last hour. I wanted to finish it, the book is called a sisters shame and it is written by maggie Hartley. Maggie hartley is a UK foster parent, and she tells the stories of the kids she fosters in her books. This one was particularly shocking and very sad.
If we were having coffee I’d tell you that our weather is lovely today, but we had mixed weather this past week. It rained for a couple of days straight, but then it cleared up and we had sunshine which I welcomed. I was able to sit out in my back garden to read in the sun.
If we were having a coffee I’d tell you that I’ve been doing well with my healthy eating, and trying to lose weight. I had salad for lunch, and my mom got me a great big water melon which I love. I mean this melon is humungus! Lol. We cut half of it up and I will be eating that for snacks over the next couple of days. My weigh in is on tuesday and I really hope to be losing.
If we were having coffee I’d tell you that I started taking a new medication last week, called, zyprexa. Its an antipsychotic, and my doctor has me on it for my mood, which has been very low lately. Anyway, the zyprexa causes me to have awful dry mouth, and restless legs. I’m hoping that the restless legs will ease soon, this morning, a nurse from the weekend team, which is my mental healths local team of nurses who work weekends, told me that magnesium might help, and that sometimes you can get restless legs if your magnesium is too low. So my plan is to buy a magnesium spray for my legs.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I had a lovely catch up with one of my best friends this afternoon. He’s blind like I am, and he’s about to get a new guide dog, so I am looking forward to meeting his new dog, whose name will be Zarley.
If we were having coffee, I’d also tell you that I got my second dose of the pfizer vaccine last thursday, and I had awful side effects after it. I think I’m over the worst now though, I dosed myself up on painkillers. The side effects that I had were nausea, weakness, fatigue, and a headache.
Lastly if we were having coffee I’d tell you that I am resuming face to face sessions with my therapist this coming week. We’ve been doing therapy over zoom for the past 15 months. It is going to be so good to actually get to see her in person, as that is definitely my preferred way of doing therapy. Zoom is ok, but to me it is about connection and connecting with the therapist.
Well I hope you’ve all had a good weekend so far, stay well, and stay safe, and I hope you have enjoyed your coffee or whatever drink you chose.
