#SoCs – Yarn!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is yarn. Use it any way youd like. Enjoy!
*****************************
I used to love to knit. I’m not a great knitter but I can knit basic stuff.
Like dish cloths, hats, scarfs.
Its been a while since I went shopping for yarn, though. I used to love going into the store, and feeling all the yarn. Being blind I needed someone to describe the colours to me, but I always loved feeling the soft yarn.
It was so soft and fluffy!
Now that I think of it, I think I’ll pick up knitting again. Its a great way to keep your hands busy as you read or watch tv.
I wonder if I can learn to loom knit. That sounds so cool. I’ve never done it. I’ve never even seen a loom.
Maybe I’ll go yarn shopping soon! I like bright coloured yarn, maybe I’ll make myself a new scarf for next winter.
Can you knit?

  1. I tried knitting and crocheting when I was younger, but gave it up for sewing and other hobbies that I was better suited for. Buying yarn and getting back into knitting sounds like a great plan. Have fun with it!

  2. I don’t know how to knit but I can crochet. Not very well. I was taught in seventh or eighth grade and I’ve made a few items. A winter hat and several potholders.
