Sunburn!

I was out in the sun for about an hour yesterday with my mom, and I got a bad sunburn all over my face.
I now have a very red face, and it hurts a lot.
Mom put aftersun on it, but man, I have really sensitive skin!
The sun wasnt that strong, and I didnt think I’d burn so easily!
That’ll teach me! The next time I go out I shall be definitely putting a load of sunscreen on me.

  1. I’m sorry you got sunburned. I really need to get some sunscreen too. I don’t usually get sunburns easily, but of course that doesn’t mean sun exposure isn’t dangerous.

  2. Ouch, I hope you heal fast!

My mother and I were/are very resistant to the sun, I’ve only managed to get a sunburn once in my life. That was when we went to Florida and my sister and I spent all day on the beach and at the swimming pool. It wasn’t too bad a sunburn even then. My father and sister were/are very delicate when it comes to the sun, they burn very easily.

I avoid the sun even though I’m resistant to it, it’s bad for the skin and could lead to skin cancer. Plus, the sun can fade tattoos, especially colored ones, and mine have very bright colors that I’m really happy with, I’d hate for them to fade!

My mother and I were/are very resistant to poison ivy as well, I’ve only gotten that once in my life when the dogs rolled around in a patch of it and everyone in the house got it from their fur. My case was very mild, everyone else was very bad.

  3. I feel your pain. I am super fair and freckly plus I have lupus which makes me sun sensitive. Do any of your meds make you more sensitive to the sun by chance?? Lots of them can have that effect. Hope your face is feeling better….xx
