I’ve had very few operations in my life.
I can think of only a handful of times where I’ve been in hospital and had to have an operation.
Once was when I had to have my gall bladder removed. That was done through keyhole surgery.
Once was when I had my tonsils out. I was only six when I had them taken out.
The biggest operation I had was when I had to have my ovaries removed, that was major surgery and I took months and months to heal as my wound broke down after surgery.
I was in and out of the hospital for months. It was not a pleasant time in my life.
Other than those 3 times, I havent had to have any other major surgery in my lifetime.
For that I am most grateful!

I have had my gallbladder, tonsils, wisdom teeth (oral surgery), exploratory surgery for my ovarian cancer, and finally my complete hysterectomy. I actually don’t mind surgery. The only time I was scared was when I got my tonsils removed. I was in 5th grade and thought I was going to die. I still remember the recovery from that. Oh, the pain. I had liquid phenol to take that tasted so horrible, but really helped with the pain. My mom made me jello squares out of grape juice and she let me lay in her waterbed all day. Horrible time, but fond memories. Funny how that works.
