Welcome to Sarah’s Saturday Mix, 5 December 2020!
This week we are seeing double with Double Take.
The Double Take challenge focuses on the use of homophones* to build your writing piece. You have two sets of homophones and you are challenged to use all of them in your response which can be poetry or prose.
Our homophone sets this week are:
gene chromosome
jean cotton twill
and
flecks many tiny specks
He had lovely auburn hair, he got the jene from his mother.
Blue jeans were franks favourite. He liked to dress casually and comfort was his thing.
The stars were like flecks in the bright blue sky. Kate sat and gazed at it. She felt as if she could look at this sky forever.
