A dog for christmas

I know people say you shouldnt get a dog for christmas, but well, this year a dog just might come into my parents home!
My dad and mom lost their dog biggie in July, biggie was a bullstaff, and he was an incredible dog. So loving, such a baby, a real slob, so loyal too.
He was 14 when he passed away!
My dads been pining ever since. He used to walk biggie for 3 miles every day, now he hardly goes out at all. He walks Nitro for me when I am down at their house, but thats not all the time. I know he misses having a dog. He even admitted it to me.
My mom said she’s thinking about getting him a dog for christmas. Not a puppy, she was thinking of maybe rescuing a dog from a rescue centre, but she isnt sure, as she did want to surprise my dad.
I hope she does get a dog for him. I know my dad would love it.
He adores dogs, all dogs. He is a real doggy person!

  1. I think getting a dog for Christmas, (or any other fur baby) is a perfect gift as long as people realize they are not toys and they are not something that is no longer fun after the holidays. A pet is a lifetime commitment for the life of the pet.
