The Memory Garden
When we lose someone we love dearly,
We feel as if our hearts will break,
We feel the loss intensely,
and we cry many tears of heartache.
But grief is the start of something else,
It’s a process of healing and growth,
For like a garden that needs water,
The memories we have need to be nurtured.
And as the winter of our grief passes,
The springtime of memories arrive,
The memory garden needs those tears,
So then our memories can survive.
memories like little flowers,
The sad ones may be pale,
But then the happy memories like wildflowers,
Will bloom with colours bright,
And those memories will sustain us,
Through the passing days and nights.

Superb Carol…thank you for sharing…

Of memories and rhymes”

Before all the deepest wells run dry”
