Dad turned 67 today

c Todays my dads birthday. He turned 67.
We had a small celebration for him. We had a chocolate cake, and mom put a few candles on it and he blew them out and we got photos.
I gave him a card with some money in it, and 2 scratch cards, he won 5 euro on one of them.
Mom also gave him money and scratchies, he won 10 euro on one of moms scratchies.
My sister also gave him money. I do hope he’s enjoyed his special day. We tried to make it as special for him as we could under the covid restrictions.
I broke the rules of the covid restrictions by going to my parents house this weekend, but I dont care, although, there is a meeting tomorrow, the government is having a meeting and deciding whether we’ll go back into lockdown fully, which I’m pretty sure we will.
So I might as well make the most of this weekend, as it might be the last time I get to go to my parents house for a while!

  1. First, happy birthday to your dad! Second, I wish people here in the US were serious about the lockdowns and all that. Because of our idiot leader so many people still think this virus is fake. So many people are dying. How can they think it isn’t real? When states went into lockdown the last time I would say that almost 50% of the people I saw didn’t follow the advice of the medical experts.

      1. That is the biggest problem in the US. I am visiting my dad in Florida now, where the cases just keep rising. I was downtown the other day and there was a sign that read “Wearing masks is greatly encouraged!” Are you kidding me? So many people still don’t wear them or complain about it non-stop.
