mom and The covid test

so mom had her test. she had it this afternoon. she said it was awful. I knew it was going to be uncomfortable for her. she’s pretty sensitive, and doesnt like things up her nose, well I dont think I would like that either. She said she gagged while they did the test. But they explained everything to her as they went, and they were really nice. She’s glad its over now. She was told by the doctor this morning she’d have her results within 24 hours, but when she went to have her test they said it could be anything up to 72 hours before she’ll have the results. I really, really hope its negative. If its positive I think she’ll be taken straight into hospital because of her COPD. I’m really worried, I dont want her to catch the virus. I cant seem to stop worrying about her. She did start her antibiotic this afternoon also. It will hopefully start kicking in within the next 2 days. I’m not planning on going anywhere now for a while. Not until mom gets the results of her covid test back.

  1. The test for COVID-19 is definitely the most uncomfortable of all. I’ve endured it as well on 30th Sep, when I was admitted in the hospital for my kidney stones removal procedure. It went well and I returned home in 2 days but the memory of that long swab stick going into the very depth of my nose will keep on itching my memory for so long.
And yes, I was tested negative.
I wish for your mother’s test to be negative.
