Our west cork day trip

Today I took a day trip to west cork, with mom and my two aunts. As you’ll have seen from my photos, we all had a blast. it was a beautiful day, we got gorgeous weather and we made the most of it. First, we drove to gogon barragh, a little place in west cork where people go on retreats, there is nice scenery there, and a little church, its the place we went to a few weeks back, mom my aunt and me, the last time we went it was a foggy day, and we didnt get there until the evening, but today we got there early, we got there at around 11 AM, and the sun was shining brightly. We had taken a picnic, and we sat on a rock overlooking the river eating it. Then we went into the gift shop, I bought myself a framed picture of a scenic view for my living room, and I also bought a fridge magnet. After looking in the gift shop, we walked around for a little while taking photos. Then, we sat on the rocks again by the water, and my aunt took her cards out, she’d brought angel cards, and so we all chose 2 cards, and my aunt read them for us. She does that as part of her reiki and other spiritual stuff that she likes to do. At around 1:30 we decided to drive to a beach, inchadonny, in west cork. It took around an hour to get there, we sat by the ocean once we got there, and had more food, the weather was glorious, it was absolutely beautiful, sunshine, warmth, and just amazing. My mom wasnt able to walk much, so I sat with her, and my aunts went off to walk the beach, I didnt mind not going, as in goghon barragh we’d walked over 4 KM so I did get some walking in. Plus, I did well with my food, I had sandwiches, some fruit, brown soda bread and I did have two cookies that my aunt brought, they were cranberry and white chocolate and OMG guys they were gorgeous. We stayed on the beach for about 2 hours, then my aunt was getting tired and my mom was getting caught for breath and needed to use ner nebuliser, so we needed to get home. On the way home, mom went in to the shop because I needed money out of the ATM, and she got a breathing attack, which was quite scary, but once she sat down and was able to catch her breath again she was ok. I didnt actually find out about it until we were home, my aunt wouldnt tell me because she knew I’d panic, so at the time she told me she was just getting a magazine that my mom had rang her to tell her that they had the magazine she wanted. But really my mom had rang her to tell her she needed her to help her as she was having an attack. It was one of the best days of the summer, and I am so glad I got to go and make happy memories with my mom. I really enjoyed spending time with her and enjoying the scenery and the sunshine. Of course the wasps were everywhere, and I did have a few freak out moments while I ate, but they didnt land on me, which is good, because god knows what I would’ve done if one did land on me. As its almost the end of summer now, it was the perfect way to end the summer, as the weather is supposed to change on Tuesday and we are meant to have loads of rain. So we did this just in time, while the weather was still good.
