a classical poem of a kind originally meant to be sung.
For the purpose of this prompt consider your ode can be written as both poetry and prose.
Write an ode to something meaningful in your life.

You are loyal beyond loyal

You are warmth, love, snuggles and cuddles

You are my safety, security

Like a big fluffy blanket

Your coat so soft

I caress your smooth coat

As you lick my hands, and face too if I let you

You are the sunshine in my life

The cutest lab there ever was

You are my shining star

Oh how I love you so, Nitro

You are one in a million

My knight in shining armour

You know just what to do

When I am feeling sad

One wag of that tail

One lick of that tongue

And you make me happy again

I will always love you

My forever friend

My companion, my boy

You are the words greatest dog

Love, mommy.
