Bee’s Poem of the Day: A Break

Hello out there, all you brilliant people. Do you remember how wonderful you are? If you don’t, I remind you of it today: Take a break. Have a cup of your favourite beverage and just sit and breathe. You are worth it.

It’s Sunday when I write these words. On Monday, I had my third lot of chemotherapy and experience taught me that I won’t do any writing the first week after it.

I can do practical things like a little housework, some cooking. Very slowly and with lots of sitting down. But mostly my wonderful husband does everything. I just have to take a break. And I never realised how hard that is for me.

Never realised how much it means to me to be able to do stuff. Not being dependent on someone else, even my husband. But he was in the same situation just 6 months ago when he had his operation. He understands. And I know now how he felt.

Life is a learning curve. You either live it and learn or…

Now. Breathing. Living.

Mind wanders to sad places.

Watch this red kite soar.

Happy Thursday despite everything.
