Bee’s Poem of the Day: U-Turns

Hello out there, all you lovely people. How the world has changed in the last three or four months. And even more in a previous couple of weeks. Statues have toppled, and football players managed to change the UK governments stance on feeding vulnerable children.

I am not a football fan. In fact, I have a lot of prejudices when it comes to football players. But young Marcus Rashford has impressed me with his incredibly grown-up approach to getting Boris Johnson to do the right thing for a change: Keep food vouchers for vulnerable families going throughout the summer holidays so, their children have something to eat.

Let’s simply forget how sad it is that the government can’t be bothered to feed the nation and that it needs a celebrity to change their mind.

good work-out for my stuck mind

Happy Thursday to you all despite everything!
