Therapy update

I just had a brief phone check in with Eileen. She is on heavy pain meds, so she’s not her usual self, the meds are zonking her.
We kept the chat brief, and light.
She told me she may be out of work for up to 4 weeks, she just isnt sure yet. She said she’d keep me updated though. I’ll be ok, just as long as she’s taking good care of herself, thats what matters most to me.
She said her days and nights are all blending into one another. I can empathise. I know how that is.
It’ll be hard not having therapy for so long, but at least I still have Dr. Barrys support, and me and Eileen will keep in touch via texts.
In the whole 7 years I’ve been seeing eileen, she has only ever been sick twice, once with a stomach bug, and once with a chest infection, she’s generally very healthy.
She just needs to do whatever it takes to get better now, her health is the priority now.
I’m so glad we got to talk even for a few minutes. It put me at ease and I am less worried now.

  1. I’m so very glad Eileen and you had a check-in. I do understand her health is the top priority right now. Still, I hope you can reach out to Dr. Barry and maybe get her to enlist extra support if you need it.
