Terror, fear, swallows me whole

I sit here
trembling in the darkness
Shaking uncontrollably
I sit here
Shivering with fear
Anxiety coarsing through my veins
I cry out
But no one hears
I am alone
I am floundering
arms flailing
Heart beating so fast
I am reminded
Of the past
Of secrets I cannot share
Never! Ever!
they are mine
and mine alone
I hold them in
cry, cry and
it all begins again
