Not sure I agree…

The day you realize that complaining will not get you anywhere, that will be the day your life will begin to look better.
E. Broome

But sometimes, we all need to complain! So am not sure I totally agree with this!

  1. Yeah, I get that. But, Broome is right. When I posted my last comment, I was relating to that one person in your life that is a perpetual victim. They always complain. I have to feel sorry for them, but after a while, it’s like when are you going to get out of this cycle? Then I realized that some people enjoy the hole they’ve dug for themselves more than the sunlight waiting for them. My 2 cents.

      1. You’re right too. We all do need to complain now and then. We wake up not feeling well, we lose out on something we thing we deserved, or heck, we find out that our favorite food isn’t available when we go out to eat. These kinds of complaints are no big deal and I think healthy.

  2. It’s gonna be a hard disagree for me. Venting your negative feelings and getting out all that toxicity, ie: what society calls ‘complaining’ is actually therapeutic and healthy. Venting is not whining. Whining without self awareness or any change in patterns of behavior yet expecting changes…THAT is whining and self -victimization.
