she bows her head
walks wounded
slowly, head lowered
silent, defeated
she prays for peace
for a release
silently she prays
for someone to save her
save her from the memories
that haunt her each and every night
without strength to fight
she fears she is doomed
doomed to spend a life time
haunted by these unforgiving memories
can she be set free?
