question of the day

How many languages can you speak?

I can only speak english and irish, but I learned french in school, and I can speak a little bit of spanish and a little bit of german. But nothing too extravagant.

I cant speak irish fluently either, I have forgotten most of my knowledge of it. Even though we learned it in school too. I didnt like it, so I never really payed attention to what I learned!

What about you?

      1. Dutch seems to be a mixture between English and German so I should be really good. However, they have a couple of sounds that you have to create in the back of your throat and that is really hard.

      2. I have thanks. Hope yours is good too 😚 It’s my birthday. Had a great walk at the beach and hubby made delicious birthday cake. πŸ‘πŸ™‹β€

  1. I am surprised how many readers here speak German. I am a native German speaker, and I think it must be a very difficult language to learn. I had English, Latin and Russian at school, but English is the only language that stuck with me.

  2. I’m only fluent in English. I know a little Spanish, a lot of people here speak Spanish, maybe I’ll learn more someday. I took German in school and could have minor conversations in it. That’s been a long time ago, I can barely remember it.
