As a very small kid I wanted to do something to do with music, like to be a singer or a musician or something like that. Then for a long time I wanted to be a psychologist. In my early teens I wanted to be a sound engineer, and then I wanted to be a writer, and writing is something I still enjoy doing.

I wanted to do something with electronics. I got to do that, I paid my way through college working as an electronic technician and graduated with an EET (Electrical Engineering Technology) degree from Purdue. I got a job at GM and did circuit design for years, then I switched to the IT department where I specified Linux machines and managed Sun and HP servers. Then my bipolar, which had caused me a lot of grief until then, really took off and I had to go on disability. But I got 30 years of doing what I always wanted to do!

Let’s see I was a labor and delivery nurse for 10 yrs, a mental health nurse for 3 yrs, and now I am a home health nurse for a sick little boy.
