Question of the day

So today, my question to you is this…

What has benefited you most in your healing journey?

For me, it is a few things. Writing is one. Having this blog, somewhere to share, has helped me so so much. I love my blog. I love all of you my blog buddies. Your all amazing and you’ve been so kind to me. It doesn’t go unnoticed.

Having a therapist has also helped us greatly. Its hard work but so worth it. Processing memories, doing EMDR is hard. But I wouldn’t change it for the world. I have gotten so much out of therapy.

Music, reading, hot tea, essential oils, my dog, all also help me.

So what helps you and has benefited you in your healing?

  1. Hard to name one thing, I think it changes all the time. Blogging, social media, reading, yoga, running, walking , working, meditation, healthy food, rubbish food, meditation retreats. Movies, comedies on Netflix. Ted talks about cool stuff. Chillin and doing nothing, cup of tea and biscuit, having a routine. I probably forgot a few , I try to do whatever I need on the day.

  2. Several for me, like yourself.
The last two lots of counseling I shared on my blog as you know was the turning point. The first one uncovered what was the cause of things, but because of being near the end and having to tread carefully, meant I had to chase up with counseling with another provider.

From the support of these two counsellors and armed with the tools for triggers, my blog came about. The blog was another form of therapy as personally continued my healing journey to where I needed to be.

After the two above and my continued evolving and learning for the better, being in a new job and getting out of the other has been the next best thing in helping me with my mental health.

It’s been a rollercoaster the past year with good and bad and as you know, my next positive thing is moving to a different area with a view I love. I definitely feel there will be even more positive stuff to be told for this.

As well as that view I will love, it’s scented candles, or oils, as well as colouring or journalling.
