So I joined!

so I did it, I joined the gym!
I talked to the manager this morning, and she was very nice. She was totally ok with me bringing someone in to help me when I use the machines. She even said the person I bring can also use the machines if they want, they’d just have to pay 5 euro per time. She did say that whoever comes in to help me will have to sign a form for insurance reasons, just so that they know whose in the building etc. Thats fine with me though.
So we went in today and I had a bit of a chat with one of the fitness instructors. He said he’d do up a programme for me, but I have to go back in next week to go through my programme with him. In the mean time he told me if I want to come in and use the gym that I should just do cardio and use the bike and the treadmill and not use the weights until he has gone through them with me.
He did let me demonstrate the weight machines today though. I’ve never tried weights before. Its all going to be new to me. I am excited to start doing weights and try them out.
So I am hoping to go a few times this coming week to the gym with my mom and just use the treadmill and the bike. I’ll ask her if she’ll go over the weekend with me. I’m sure she will if she can. The first monthly payment was taken out today and now its due on the 28th of each month. Its just remembering that I have to have money in my account for membership fees each month. the manager did say that if I ever want to cancel my membership I can, I just have to give 15 days notice to do it.
I’m very happy. They are very friendly and seem very supportive. They did weigh me today too and we are going to keep track of my weight every four weeks. The guy I chatted with said that every couple of weeks they have a chat to the member to see where they’re at and see how things are going for them. that sounds really good to me.

      1. I am filling out to try and get a Y scholarship to get me and the kids in there again. Not sure if I will get anywhere or not. We had one before but it was still $40 a month. Not that, that is bad but money is just so tight right now, I don’t have it. I could join one for around $10 a month but then I am back to no time because the I always have the kids. This way we could all go together and they have stuff for all of us to do.

  1. Good for you! I think it will knock you off that plateau and you’ll lose weight faster. I can hear the littles groaning with disgust! LOL xxx
