What is the last book you read? And, did you enjoy it?

For me it was broken, by rosie lewis. And I loved it. A review of it is coming on here soon!

  1. I just finished a great novel called A Thing of Beauty by Lisa Samson about a daughter breaking free of a narcissistic mother and reconnecting with her father. I loved it .

Today I bought The Rules of Seeing about a woman who regains her sight. Really looking forward to reading that. Its by Joe Heap.

  3. I’ve recently read a few books from the positivist era in Poland – it is one of the periods in Polish literature and culture. I didn’t think I’d enjoy them, but surprisignly I did enjoy a few books from that period so now I’m reading another one, called “Emancypantki” (The Suffragists) by Bolesław Prus. It’s about the pupils of a school for girls in Warsaw, their choices, life decisions, and the consequences they have to bear, following these not always best decisions. In some part it’s also about Warsaw and how it looked and was like in the 18th century, and, as the title says, there is also a lot about women’s rights at that time and how they fight to gain them. I quite like this book, I must say. It’s dynamic and there are lots of interesting characters.
