Fresh apple crisp

5 cups chopped and peeled apples

1/2 cup butter room temperature

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 cup flour


1 cup old fashioned oatmeal

1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup butter

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

3/4 cup brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350F.

Stir apples together with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour. Put into a baking dish that’s been sprayed with non-stick spray, or coated liberally with butter.

Combine all topping ingredients until evenly distributed. Pour over apples, and bake for 40-50 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned.

Serve with sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
