My silly pup

so my silly pup is making a fool out of me.

I tried giving him his pills in some ham. he ate the ham and spat out the pills. then I tried again.

he ate half of his pill and the ham and promptly spat out the other half.
so I opened his mouth and shoved it in and tried to massage his throat so he’d swallow it. Well he wasn’t having any of that ๐Ÿ˜€ he promptly spat it out again when I thought it was gone.
eventually after 3 tries he ate it. Its been this way since I started giving him his pills on Wednesday. Its like he knows I cant see! He’s clever, very very clever!
At least he’s taking them though, after much coaxing and cajoling.

  1. LOL Nitro’s been talking to Jamie. I got these things today from the vet that are supposed to protect the dog for three months at a time from fleas and ticks. The vet said that they were delicious and dogs really like them. NOT!! I gave it to Jamie and he dropped it on the floor just when I thought he’d eaten it. I had to break it in half and shove it in his mouth and rub his throat. I think I got it down him.

  2. haha sounds like Toby! I have to put it down his throat and wait till he swallows a certain way or he spits it out, I can crush certain ones into the meat he has with his breakfast but there are some that he can smell and then refuses to eat it lol. If only we could convince them that it’s something they need to do and there’s no point refusing lol xox
