  1. People say so many unthinking or passive-aggressive things. It can really make us feel like crap even years later, like saying someone’s sister is the pretty one or someone’s brother is the smart one, and they aren’t. Parents can also make up stories about why they are bad parents, sort of blaming the kid for things getting out of control when really it is the parents’ job to be the parents.
