Skills demo

so this morning we’ve been doing work on our health and fitness module. we have to do a couple of skills demonstrations as part of the module.
we’ve already done an individual gym work out at the gym, and we’ve also participated in two team sports. next we have to participate in an individual sport.
we were going to try yoga, but then I had a brain wave. I have a cardio level 1 workout on my laptop, its described, and its especially for the blind.
its 30 minutes long. I’ve never done all of it, because I am not fit enough yet. But I’ve done some of it.
so I am going to do that for my skills demo and for the individual sport.
all of my class are doing different things for the skills demo. two of the class have spinabifita so are wheelchair users. they are doing an upper body workout especially for people with spinabifida.
the rest of my class are going to do yoga.
we wont be doing the skills demo for about 2 weeks, but we have to practice in the mean time.

  1. I think cardio fitness is so important, and I’m such a bum when it comes to doing it myself. Good for you and your fellow students to be wokring on this. It really improves health and confidence, I find, when I do more and feel a bit of improvement in my muscles.

      1. Me too. That’s why I stand in front of my computer instead of sitting down, since then all the muscle tone goes. I stand all day on a little carpet square in front of my computer, and that at least gives me some muscle tone, some chance to dance around a little or walk in place.
