Calm and distract

Things we’ve done to distract

Made some tea

Listen to music

Watch TV

Cuddled with nitro

Sorted out some of our files on the hard drive

Wrote some poetry

Ate some food

Nothing is working

Anyone got any other ideas?

In panic mode now

Don’t know what to do

Flashbacks are awful, nightmares, flashbacks, really really bad

  1. you need to face your memories and flashbacks. they are part of your past. you need to acknowledge that they are real, and the parts sharing/experiencing them are valid in remembering/sharing them with you/and other parts. you need to just remember them. here is a tip: write down what you are experiencing/remembering. once you have gotten all the shit written down, you will have removed it from yourself a little, and you should be able to relax and calm down a bit. my advice at that point is to get a nice cup of something you love to drink, nitro, a blanket, and watch something you love to watch on netflix etc.

i hope you feel better. all of my best. xxx 🙂 ♥

      1. do whatever you think is best. i just hope you feel better. facing them will help you feel better, i promise you. it will help you get a hold of what if bothering you.
try drinking a hot toddy to relax you. it should help. also, keep nitro close to you. animals are very calming.
i wish you the best, but i think you should write it down. then you have it in concrete form to share with eileen, and also… the part remembering/flashbacking has validation that they are being heard/acknowledged/understood. then the pain and the panicking and the anxiety will slowly leave and fade. and you can enjoy a relaxing evening or sleep. 🙂

  2. I’ve got a massage stick thing and I roll it on my legs and it is calming. I’m glad you have nitro. Maybe you can sing him a song since your voice is so pretty

  3. That’s awful that nothing is working for these flashbacks. If you’re still experiencing them and feeling strong enough right now to really face them, I’d try to do it. It may seem scary, but that’s what can help you the best, I guess. And do some more grounding stuff, drink some tea or coffee, cuddle with Nitro of course and keep in touch with safe people. It’s good that you emailed EIleen. ANd you know guys that if you need you can always email me. Hope it’s better now though and that you don’t have flashbacks anymore.
