The basement club

so after therapy today we went to the basement club. spent most of the rest of the day there. it was nice. there were lots of members in today. one of them was kind enough to go get my lunch for me. the same member also made me tea later on. i find it so nice that some of the members offer to make me my tea or coffee because they know its not the easiest thing for me to do. i can do it, and i do a lot, but its nice sometimes to have it done for me. it feels nice to be taken care of and pampered. we all sat around the big table in the common room today just chatting. i had my laptop with me and checked email as well. we had catch up which went well. there is a lot going on at the basement club this week. lots of groups and activities. i would have gone to the two groups that will be going on this wednesday but i’m not sure i can because i have a meeting about my application to big brother big sister. the two groups that are on on wednesday afternoon are knitting and crochet, and art. maybe i’ll go next week. tomorrow afternoon there is an out and about group, its where members go to a museum or an art gallery, or just take a walk, and afterwords they go for coffee. i’ll be volunteering tomorrow morning as i normally do on tuesdays. i need to start the newsletter, and put octobers one together. there is a lot to go into it this month. i like doing the research and looking up things that will go into it. i’m good at doing research. i made a laminated sign for my laptop, remember i had the privacy issues recently while i was at the basement club? the sign says “private and confidential, please do not lift the lid or read the screen of this laptop”. Every time I am not using my laptop I close it down and put the sing on top of the lid of it. that should hopefully stop anyone snooping. denise the co-ordinator said if it doesnt then she will start giving warnings to people.

    1. Well it’s just one person, and he is very rude, no talking to him at all, he just is nosy and there is no two ways about it, but yeah, I’m glad Denise has my back, it feels good to know that if he does it again she will give him a verbal warning

  1. I’m glad you had a nice time at the basement club and it’s really good that Denise is so helpful, I hope he won’t be so rude anymore, it would be really awful.
