Is it just me

Is it just me Or does a good book keep you up too? I’ve been finishing up my cathy glass book cruel to be kind tonight. I have 4 chapters left. I want to finish it but I’ve stopped reading for now. but its so addictive! Something good is about to happen in the next chapter and I just want to rush on and read it!
I should be asleep but I drank a couple cups of coffee and now I’m wide awake. I think I’ll hop in the shower soon. I don’t have plans for today other than going to mom and dads place. My new thing now is to go there on Thursday and stay until Sunday.
Are you having trouble sleeping lately? Do you read? If so what genre of book is your favourite?

  1. Yeah, I definitely can relate! I’m very often up very late just because I found a good book and can’t stop reading it. And Cathy’s books are really great indeed. Recently my sleep’s been very unsettled, last week I had a few nights that I didn’t sleep at all, this week I tend to go to bed veeery early, which is so not like me, but I’m just sleepy and exhausted at evenings lately, but then I’m up about 3 or 4 AM which is annoying. Today I had a lot of bad dreams which I obviously hate and I was pretty tired of them so then I fell asleep again and slept very heavily until 10 PM when my sis Zofijka was going to school and wanted something from me. That all’s very strange. 😀 When it coms to my favourite book genres, I love old English novels, like Austen’s, Gaskel’s, sisters Bronte’s, I’m a big fun of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s book, especially Emily Of New Moon series, Emily’s just like me lol, I like a Polish writer called Małgorzata Musierowicz, she writes books for youth, but they’re good for everyone and it’s easy to like them, she writes series, it’s kind of saga, about the Polish famly, their daily life, these books are full of warmth, clever, funny and just a pleasure to read, as far as I know a few of them are translated to ENglish. As you know I also like books about foster care children like Cathy Glass’s or Casey Watson’s. And I love myths, legends, fairytales and books relating to folklore, especially Celtic or Scandinavian.

  2. I was like that with the Harry Potter series books. Still am. But now I’m lucky to read a chapter here or there in whatever book I’m reading. I start more books than I finish. No genre really, just whatever catches my fancy.

  3. A good book I like to savor because I don’t want it to end. And then when I’m done reading it I am sad. My favorite is a series of books by Ransom Riggs, he is a young adult author.
