Saturdays question of the day

so, i kind of laxed on asking a daily question for a few days, what can I say, life got hectic.

Well, since I’m experiencing heat exhaustion and being warm and not tolerating it very well I thought I’d ask a question surrounding hot summer days.

so my question to you is:

On a hot sunny day, what is your favourite way to cool down?

  1. Living in Phoenix, I get a lot of hot days, especially recently. I like to stay inside as much as possible and sit directly in front of fans. If you have a good fan, you can even get so cold where you even have to turn it off. My husband says that a walk-in freezer is the best, even if it’s only for a couple moments. We like to go for walks, but we have to wait until the pavement has cooled down enough for our dog to walk on it. We go out, but not nearly as much as we do during other seasons.

  2. If I’m extremely hot, I take a cool shower. I start from slightly warm water and then get used to colder and colder and I have it about 15 minutes. After such bath I feel much cooler and fresh. I also like to go by the sea when I can and swim or bath or play in it, I was by the sea yesterday. I also like to drink some cold, even icy drinks, like ice-tea or Pepsi with ice or just cold water with ice and lemon juice. Or ice coffee. Or I eat ice-cream. I hate when it’s hot at night, ’cause then I often have terrible headaches at the morning and they tend to last for the whole day, especially that my room makes hot easily, so when the weather is like this now, I sleep with the opened window and with a ventilator, same as my Mum.
